Label stock types
Bachcroft Labels offers six different stock types: Crystal Clear, Sheer Clear, Glossy, Matte, Foil, and our newest addition, Brown Kraft. All of our label sizes and designs are available in Crystal Clear, Sheer Clear, Glossy and Matte, and all of our labels are laser-quality.
Each of our premium-quality, self-adhesive label stocks offers different characteristics. To help you select the kind of stock that is right for you, we've provided a description of each stock type.
Sheer Clear Labels
Sheer Clear labels are durable, light-weight, slightly frosty stationery labels that are designed to be virtually invisible on white, ecru, tan, and other lightly-colored envelopes. Whether you're shopping for plain or designer labels, if what you want are clear labels, consider these popular, ultra-elegant labels.
Crystal Clear Labels
If you are shopping for clear labels for envelopes that are brightly colored or slightly dark, Crystal Clear labels are a better choice. Crystal Clear labels are glossy, completely transparent, non-textured, durable, clear labels that are virtually invisible on envelopes in the medium to slightly dark range. If your envelopes are colorful, but not very dark (i.e., black, navy blue, or dark brown), Crystal Clear labels are preferable to Sheer Clear.
Glossy Labels
Glossy labels are opaque, shiny, smooth and, like all of our other label stock, smudge-proof. When a lustrous appearance and a moderate price are what you want, glossy labels are a good choice. Because image and text colors appear more vibrant on glossy stock, this is a popular choice for festive occasions and for a polished, professional look. Our glossy stock is designed for laser printing only. If you are planning to do your own printing with an inkjet printer or you would like labels that you can write on, select matte rather than glossy stock.
Matte Labels
When you want your labels to have a more subdued appearance, matte labels are a very good choice. Matte labels are opaque, non-shiny, absorbent, and smudge resistant. When you are planning to write on the labels, use a typewriter, or do your own printing using an inkjet printer, matte labels are the best choice.
Foil Labels
If getting their immediate attention is important to you, consider foil. No other label type is as eye-catching as foil. Bachcroft's laser-quality gold and silver foil labels have a shimmery metallic reflective surface that is ideal when you want to add a tasteful accent to your envelopes.
Brown Kraft Labels
For an earthy, organic look and feel, try our newest addition to Bachcroft's outstanding selection of label stocks. Eco-friendly brown kraft labels are made from 100 percent recycled, post consumer waste.
